A Rare Evening 2016: Montreal’s hottest winter event with special guest, Shark Tank star Mark Cuban
MONTREAL, January 21st, 2016: On February 25th, 300 of the city’s most influential tastemakers and young professionals will gather for the most highly anticipated charity event of winter to support the iBellieve Foundation, a non-profit organization dedicated to finding a cure for MPS II or Hunter syndrome, and other rare diseases.
A Rare Evening: A Touch of Red will be a glamorous Old Hollywood-themed soirée at the Centre des sciences de Montréal, hosted by TV personality and founder of Le Cahier blog, Camille DG, and Jay Walker of Global TV and MTL Rocks on CHOM 97.7. Guests will dress in their finest evening attire with a touch of red and walk the red carpet alongside VIP guests, including Mark Cuban, star of ABC’s Shark Tank and owner of the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks. The business mogul and advocate will deliver an inspiring keynote speech on rare disease awareness.
With local eats from Montreal’s top restaurants, including Schwartz’s deli, Burgundy Lion, Taverne Gaspar and Léché Desserts and entertainment by DJ YO-C and burlesque maven, Miss Sugarpuss, A Rare Evening: A Touch of Red will surely be a night to remember.
Spearheading the event is the founder of iBellieve Foundation, Simon Ibell. He is one of 40 people in Canada, and approximately 2,000 worldwide, born with Hunter syndrome. He has traveled the world searching for a cure, and in turn, has become a champion for the entire rare disease community.
